Your Clark County REMC wants to announce a program which offers further proof that being a member has even more advantages! A new Co-op Connections card will be sent to you later this month and will offer members 10% to 60% savings on most prescriptions at more than 48,000 independent pharmacies and national chains – including CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target and more.

With soaring prescription rates on everyone’s mind, this discount will help you and your family members save money on most of your prescription medications. When you receive your new card, just sign the back and you’re ready to save big. To find out which pharmacies in your area are participating, visit www.locateproviders.com and enter 22203IN01 into the “Group” field or call 800-800-7616. To look up the discount prescription price, just visit www.rxpricequotes.com.

“We’re proud to offer this extra service for our members,” said REMC General Manager David Vince. “This is just one more way we’re showing our commitment to the community we serve.”

The original card we first provided to you can still be used for discounts on purchases other than prescription drugs. This card cannot be used or combined with benefits received from insurance programs.

To make the most of the discount pharmacy program, here are some tips on how to use your new card.

1. Find a pharmacy near you by calling Member Services at 800-800-7616, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. central time and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by visiting www.locateproviders.com. Just type 22203IN01 into the “group” field and click log in to start searching.

2. Please do not call the pharmacy for price quotes. Prices may change from day to day and they cannot be given over the telephone. To look up drug prices by location, visit www.rxpricequotes.com.

3. At www.rxpricequotes.com, you will find frequently asked questions, savings examples, a list of participating chains and a “drug pricing lookup” tool. This tool allows you to find the cost of your medications before you visit the pharmacy and locate participating locations near you.

4. Present your membership card along with your prescriptions to the pharmacist. The pharmacy computer system will compare our contracted discount price with the pharmacy’s retail price when the prescription is processed. You pay the lower of the two prices directly to the pharmacy at the point of sale.

5. If your pharmacy happens to be selling any maintenance medications prescribed to treat on-going ailments, such as high blood pressure and arthritis, for less than the contracted price, you’ll receive the pharmacy’s best price.

6. If you have a problem with the program, please call or ask the pharmacist to call our Member Services department at 800-800-7616, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. central time and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
